Owners’ Update: The Dial Bar and Restaurant – Looking Ahead to 2026 – 1st January 2026

Dear Friends of The Dial,

Reflecting on Our Journey

As we approach our 24th year as one of Burton’s most established venues, we are pleased to share an update on the exciting journey ahead. Since assuming stewardship of The Dial Bar and Restaurant on Station Street in September 2025, we, Laren, Christine and family have taken great pride in upholding the tradition of refined casual dining, outstanding service, and the warm welcoming atmosphere that our guests have always cherished.

Celebrating Recent Success

This festive season has been nothing short of remarkable, with sales increasing by 30% week on week compared to last year. Our Christmas decorations created a cosy and inviting environment, allowing guests to celebrate in both comfort and safety. We are genuinely grateful for the overwhelmingly positive response to our expanded menu, which will very soon feature an even broader selection of dishes to cater to every preference. In recognition of our team’s dedication and customer care during this exceptionally busy period, we doubled the Christmas Tips box for all staff, a gesture we believe to be unprecedented in hospitality.

Owners’ Update

October 10th 2025

It’s been just over a month since Laren and Christine Yeomans and their family took over The Dial.

“It’s been a very busy month,” said Christine Yeomans. “First of all on behalf of everyone associated with The Dial, we must say a big thank you to the previous owners, Emily and James, for assisting in the smooth handover of the business.”

Laren Yeomans added, “We have been meeting with suppliers and many of the loyal customers of The Dial to assure them that it’s business as usual whilst explaining our plans for the future, although a few minor adjustments have been made over the past month to ensure the business is on a firm footing”

We must not forget to thank the fantastic team of staff we have at The Dial led by Jez, our General Manager, and James, our Head Chef for welcoming our family into the business.

Looking forward, we have recently launched an extended menu, special event nights such as Halloween are planned and the Christmas party season is looking especially busy, with Christmas Day lunch selling out in just 48 hours.

We will have further updates so please keep a close eye on our social media links.

Thank you for all the best wishes and we look forward to welcoming you to The Dial

Warmest Regards

Laren, Christine and family.

The Dial Changes Ownership

On the 9th September 2025 at 4:05pm The Dial Bar and Restaurant, a beloved establishment based in Station Street, Burton on Trent, has officially changed ownership, marking a new chapter in its storied history. After 23 years at the helm, James and Emily have passed the torch to Yeomans Developments Ltd (YDL) which has purchased both the property and the business.

Outgoing owners James and Emily have been instrumental in building The Dial into a local favourite, which is well known for its welcoming atmosphere, exceptional service and fine dining experience. James and Emily also expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the patrons and staff who have contributed to The Dials success.

James commented “After 23 years of dedication and hard work, we are excited to announce that The Dial has been sold to the Yeomans family, a local family deeply rooted in the Burton on Trent community. This decision was made with great care, as it was crucial for me and Emily to find independent successors who share our love for this business. We believe that the Yeomans family embodies these values and will bring fresh energy and passion to The Dial”.

Laren and Christine Yeomans newly appointed directors of The Dial shared their enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating, “Both us and our daughters Leanne, Laura, Louise, Libby & our son Lucas are all thrilled to become the new owners of The Dial. Our goal is to maintain its status as the area’s number one establishment, while also enhancing and developing the facilities in the coming months to provide an even better experience for our valued guests.” said Laren.

We have some exiting enhancements in the planning stage and further details of these will be broadcast through our social channels shortly but let’s say one of these may include “Turning the Clock Back”!

The Dial will continue to operate with its tremendous team of dedicated staff, ensuring that customers can enjoy the same great atmosphere they’ve come to love. “It’s business as usual,” said Christine “and we look forward to greeting existing and new guests to The Dial”.
